1. About Radikal and these terms

Radikal is operated by Radikal Ventures Private Limited, Himachal Pradesh, India. These terms explain the use of our website, accounts, booking and support services for small-group trips, courses and retreats created and led by outdoor professionals. They apply to travellers, guides, applicants and other users of the service.

Read these terms alongside the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, and the trip description and booking conditions presented before you book. A separate guide or supplier's identity, role and any additional conditions relevant to your purchase must be explained before you agree to them. The presence of a guide profile does not by itself determine the legal contracting party or remove Radikal's responsibility for its own services.

Mandatory law takes priority over any conflicting wording. The trip details, price and cancellation policy agreed at booking remain relevant to that booking; a later website revision does not silently replace them. Additional conditions cannot remove consumer rights that the law protects.

2. Agreement, eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally competent to enter a contract to create an account, apply as a guide or make a booking in your own name. A parent or lawful guardian must handle arrangements for a minor, subject to the trip's age and suitability requirements. A trip is not suitable for children simply because an adult can book it.

Before purchasing, review the conditions and confirm your choices through the purchase process. Purchase consent must be an explicit affirmative action, not a pre-ticked choice or an assumption from browsing. A custom-trip enquiry or guide application is not by itself a confirmed trip booking. Electronic communications and records may form part of an agreement under applicable Indian law.

Give accurate and current account and booking information, keep sign-in details private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not impersonate someone or use their information without authority. A person arranging a group booking must have permission to make those arrangements, communicate the relevant conditions to participants and ensure required guardian permissions are obtained.

3. Trip details and booking confirmation

Check the activity, dates, duration, location, itinerary, difficulty, group size, guide details, inclusions, exclusions and selected add-ons before reserving. Ask us about anything unclear or important to your decision. Photos and descriptions help explain an experience; they do not guarantee particular weather, wildlife sightings or an identical route on every departure.

Availability shown in a listing or search result is not a guarantee of a place. A reservation or payment acknowledgement is not the same as a confirmed booking. Check the status in your account and the confirmation we provide. A pending reservation may expire if its stated conditions are not met; contact support if payment has been made but the booking remains pending or expires, rather than paying again.

Special requests, accessibility arrangements, dietary needs and changes to a booking are subject to assessment and confirmation. Submitting a request does not mean it has been accepted. Custom-trip scope, price, inclusions and cancellation conditions must be agreed before a custom-trip booking is confirmed.

4. Prices, add-ons and payments

Review the final payable amount, party size, selected add-ons, inclusions and exclusions before agreeing to purchase. Applicable taxes and mandatory charges must be disclosed before you commit; optional extras must be selected knowingly. An add-on is included only if it is part of your agreed booking. We will not treat an unselected extra as authorised.

Prices are based in Indian rupees (INR). Where another currency is displayed, it is a conversion for convenience unless the checkout expressly states otherwise. Your payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or disclosed charges; confirm the currency and amount you are authorising.

Use only the payment methods and instructions offered through our official checkout or confirmed by our team. Where a payment service provider is used, its applicable processing terms may also apply. These terms do not promise that a particular payment method or provider is available. Never send passwords, card security codes, banking one-time passwords or UPI PINs in messages to Radikal or a guide.

If a payment fails, is duplicated, appears unauthorised or is debited without a confirmed booking, contact us with the booking and transaction references. We will investigate and arrange any refund due under the policy and applicable law. This does not restrict a lawful dispute with your payment provider. A pricing or listing error must be explained and resolved with you; it does not authorise an unagreed charge or a unilateral price increase on a confirmed booking.

5. Cancellations, changes and refunds

The Refund and Cancellation Policy presented when you booked governs ordinary traveller cancellations. Its current refund tiers are set out below. Add-ons follow the same refund policy as the trip. Refer to the full policy for how days are counted, cancellation requests, changes and refund processing details.

You can request cancellation through your booking in your profile or contact our support team. Date changes or transferring a place require confirmation and availability; they are not automatic. A refund cannot be replaced with a voucher or a different departure without your agreement.

These ordinary cancellation tiers do not remove remedies for deficient, misdescribed or undelivered services, or other rights under applicable law. Cancellation charges, where applicable, must comply with legal requirements, including comparable responsibility when an e-commerce entity cancels unilaterally. Accepted refunds must be processed within a reasonable period and any applicable statutory or payment-system deadline.

  • 30 or more days before your trip: Full refund. Cancel any time up to 30 days before your trip starts and we refund everything you paid.
  • 7 to 29 days before your trip: 50% refund. We refund half of what you paid, add-ons included.
  • If your guide or Radikal cancels: Full refund. Weather, permits, safety or too few travellers: whatever the reason, you get everything back, or move to another date if you prefer.

6. Itinerary changes and disruptions

Weather, terrain, permits, transport disruption, minimum group requirements and safety assessments can affect a departure. Guides may make reasonable operational adjustments for safety and communicate them as soon as practicable. A material change to the agreed experience must be explained with the available options and any refund rights; a safety adjustment is not a general licence to provide a substantially different service without a remedy.

If your guide or Radikal cancels, the current policy provides a full refund whatever the reason, or a move to another date if you prefer. Events beyond reasonable control do not automatically cancel that promise or statutory rights. We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and keep you informed.

Travel, visas and other arrangements you buy independently are not included unless expressly agreed. Check their separate cancellation conditions, and consider waiting for the relevant booking confirmation before making non-flexible arrangements. Responsibility for any additional loss is determined by the circumstances and applicable law, not automatically excluded by this paragraph.

7. Outdoor risks and participant responsibilities

Outdoor activities involve risks that vary by activity and conditions, including falls, injury, altitude or weather exposure, water hazards, equipment failure and delayed access to medical help. These risks cannot be eliminated entirely. Read the activity requirements, ask questions and choose an experience appropriate to your abilities. Describing a trip as beginner-friendly does not mean risk-free.

Tell the team before departure about relevant limitations or assistance you need so suitability and reasonable arrangements can be assessed. Seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional where appropriate; Radikal's website and guides are not a substitute for individual medical advice. Share only necessary health information through an appropriate channel, consistent with the Privacy Policy.

Follow lawful safety instructions, briefings and applicable local rules; use required equipment correctly; and do not participate while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Respect other participants, guides, local communities, wildlife and the environment. Threats, harassment, discrimination and unsafe behaviour are not acceptable.

A guide may pause or stop an activity, or exclude a participant, where reasonably necessary for safety or serious misconduct. We will assess the circumstances and any remaining services or refund rights fairly. Acknowledging outdoor risks is not a waiver of reasonable care, negligence claims or rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

8. Insurance, documents and emergencies

Do not assume every booking includes insurance, rescue or medical cover. Check whether your selected experience or add-on includes cover and request the insurer, policy terms, exclusions, eligibility and claims process before relying on it. Where insurance is supplied, the insurer's policy governs the cover; a trip listing is not a replacement for that policy.

Consider suitable personal travel and activity insurance, including the specific sport, altitude, emergency assistance and cancellation cover you need. Unless expressly included, you are responsible for obtaining valid identity documents, visas, permits and any legally required health documentation for your travel.

In an emergency, contact the guide and appropriate local emergency services immediately. Availability and response times vary by location; we do not guarantee immediate rescue or medical access. Any emergency cost or reimbursement is subject to the agreed inclusions, insurance and applicable legal responsibility, not automatically assigned to the traveller in every case.

9. Guides and other service providers

Experiences can involve guides, accommodation, transport, equipment or other providers. Review the provider information and the services included in your booking. If information needed to understand who supplies a service or who is responsible for it is missing, contact us before committing.

We remain responsible for our own representations, booking/support services and duties imposed by law. Identifying a separate provider does not excuse inaccurate information, deficient services or other responsibility where the law places it on Radikal. A separate arrangement you make directly with a provider is not automatically part of your Radikal booking.

Guide applications do not guarantee approval, bookings or earnings. Guides must provide accurate information, publish only content they have the right to use, and comply with applicable activity, permit and professional requirements. Commission rates, payout schedules and the nature of the guide relationship are governed by the applicable separate guide agreement, not by this page.

10. Acceptable website use

Use the service lawfully and without harming other people or its operation. Do not attempt unauthorised access, bypass access controls or rate limits, introduce malicious code, impersonate others, commit payment fraud, send spam or harvest private information. Do not misuse support conversations, personal details or private calendar subscription links.

Reasonable use of public pages and the documented public trip feed is different from access to private account, payment or support data. Public information can be cached and is not a real-time offer or availability guarantee. Contact us if you need permission for use beyond the published service conditions.

11. Content, reviews and intellectual property

Radikal's branding, original website content and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may view and use the website for its intended purposes; this does not grant ownership of our marks or permission to copy or commercially exploit protected material without authority. Third-party material belongs to its respective rights holders.

You retain ownership of content you submit. For content you choose to publish through the service, you authorise the non-exclusive use, storage, formatting and display reasonably necessary to operate that feature, including through our hosting and delivery providers. This does not grant an unrestricted right to sell your content or use private messages as advertising. Separately using your identifiable image for marketing requires appropriate permission.

Submit only content you have the right to share. Reviews should reflect genuine experience; do not include unlawful, defamatory, deceptive or infringing material, or another person's private information. We may restrict or remove content for a legitimate legal, safety or moderation reason, without treating criticism alone as a reason for removal. Report an infringement or unlawful content to legal@radikal.in, identifying the material, your rights and the concern.

12. Privacy and service communications

The Privacy Policy explains collection, use, sharing, retention, security, cookies and privacy rights. Agreeing to these terms is not blanket consent to unrelated processing or optional marketing. Consent, where required, must be specific to the relevant purpose and can be withdrawn subject to applicable law.

We may send communications needed to administer your account, enquiry or booking, including changes and security notices. Keep your contact details current. Optional marketing permission is separate from operational messages. Public reviews, guide profiles and published media are intended to be visible to others; do not post information you want kept private.

Read the Privacy Policy

13. Service access, suspension and closure

We work to keep the website usable, but maintenance, faults and third-party outages may interrupt access. Contact support if a technical problem affects a booking, cancellation or payment. A website outage does not by itself remove contractual obligations or statutory remedies.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unlawful activity, security threats or a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us for review; urgent protective action may be needed first. Restrictions should be proportionate to the issue.

Closing or suspending an account does not automatically cancel a confirmed booking, forfeit a refund, erase required records or remove either party's accrued obligations. We will assess affected bookings separately. Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.

14. Responsibility and protected consumer rights

We are responsible for performing our obligations with the care and standards required by applicable law. Liability for loss depends on the agreed services, each party's conduct, causation and applicable law. These terms do not impose a blanket liability cap or require you to indemnify Radikal for its own wrongdoing.

Nothing here excludes or restricts liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where the applicable law protects it. Nor does it remove statutory remedies for deficient services, unfair trade practices, misleading representations or an unfair contract.

Relevant Indian protections include the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as amended and applicable. If mandatory consumer protections in another jurisdiction apply to your booking, they remain available. This is not a claim that every jurisdiction's laws apply or that the service holds an international certification.

Legal references: the Department of Consumer Affairs legislation and rules and the OECD Recommendation on Consumer Protection in E-Commerce (an international benchmark, not a certification or a substitute for applicable law).

15. Complaints and grievance redressal

For an ordinary booking or service query, contact contact@radikal.in or call +91-80915-33321. For a formal complaint or grievance, write to grievance@radikal.in with your name, account email, booking/request reference if available, a description of the issue and the resolution you seek. The phone number above is also available for grievance contact.

We will acknowledge consumer grievances within 48 hours and redress them within one month of receipt, in accordance with the applicable e-commerce rules. If clarification or proportionate identity verification is needed, we will explain it. A complaint should receive a reasoned response; providing information does not require you to disclose passwords or payment security credentials.

You may contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1915 or through consumerhelpline.gov.in for assistance and use the appropriate Consumer Commission or other competent authority where entitled. Our internal process does not prevent you from seeking an available statutory remedy or urgent relief. Legal notices and intellectual-property concerns can be sent to legal@radikal.in.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory protections applicable to you. We encourage you to contact us so a dispute can be addressed promptly, but doing so is not a waiver of your rights or a mandatory waiting period before legally available relief.

A court, Consumer Commission or other forum with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear the dispute. These terms do not require exclusive proceedings in a particular city, forced private arbitration or waiver of a consumer's statutory forum. If mediation or another consensual process is proposed, it requires the appropriate agreement and does not replace mandatory rights.

17. Changes and general provisions

The date above identifies this published version. We may revise these terms for changes in services or law and provide notice of material changes where required. Changes apply prospectively; existing bookings remain subject to the terms agreed when booked unless a change is legally required or separately agreed. Publication or continued browsing does not replace fresh agreement or consent where required.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent lawful and fair; an invalid clause is not replaced automatically with a more restrictive one. A delay in enforcing a right is not necessarily a waiver. Neither a transfer of the business nor a change of provider removes accrued obligations or mandatory protections.

Keep a copy of the conditions and confirmation relevant to your booking. If you need clarification, an accessible explanation or information missing from a listing, contact us before purchasing.
