Sankhya Joshi
Verified3+ years experience
I’m Sankhya, originally from the mountains of Uttarakhand and now living amidst the Himalayas of Himachal, where I’ve chosen a slower, simpler way of life—closer to nature, the body and the rhythms of everyday living. My work with the body has grown through years of yoga, meditation, conscious movement and my training in Deep Myofascial Release.
Soma — Deep Myofascial Bodywork is a 90-minute, deeply grounding experience that invites the body to soften, release and reconnect. The practice works with slow, sustained and mindful touch, allowing the fascia, muscles and deeper layers of the body to gradually let go without force.
Breath is an integral part of the experience. Through conscious breathing and diaphragmatic release, we explore the relationship between breath, the nervous system and the places where the body holds tension. The diaphragm, being central to our breathing and internal rhythm, becomes an important gateway into deeper relaxation and release.
Every session is intuitive and individual, rather than following a fixed sequence. I listen to the body through touch, breath and sensation, meeting each person where they are.
Soma is ultimately an invitation to slow down—to step out of the constant movement of life, inhabit the body more fully, and return to a quieter sense of presence.
